Wilderness First Aid Retreat

Take your Wilderness First Aid training beyond the classroom with an unforgettable mountain retreat. This immersive weekend combines the complete 16-hour Wilderness First Aid certification with the experience of living and learning in a remote wilderness setting.

Participants will travel by tracked snow vehicle from Ray Benson Sno-Park to beautiful Big Lake Youth Camp, where they'll spend two nights surrounded by the Cascade Mountains. Throughout the weekend, students will participate in realistic wilderness medical scenarios while enjoying comfortable lodging, provided meals, and the camaraderie of fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

This retreat is ideal for hikers, campers, overlanders, hunters, anglers, mountain bikers, snowmobilers, search and rescue personnel, guides, and anyone who ventures beyond immediate access to emergency medical services. By training in an authentic wilderness environment, participants gain practical experience managing injuries, illnesses, environmental emergencies, patient assessment, evacuation decisions, and prolonged care when help may be hours away.

Whether you're preparing for your next adventure or simply want the confidence to care for family and friends in remote locations, the Wilderness First Aid Retreat provides an educational experience that is both highly practical and incredibly memorable.
